Reinsurance Brokerage seeking Casualty Facultative Broker and Leader to build Los Angeles office. This is a unique opportunity for the right person to be a part of the bigger picture. Have you always been interested in reinsurance? Are you ready to be a practice leader? Do you want to build a book of your own and bring a team along with you? This person will be the first hire in LA and will be responsible for the west coast territory and building out a team. Average Day: Broker deals, work with staff to help assist with their deals (once they build out team). Engage management at respective companies and underwriters. Attend marketing events (breakfast/ lunch/ games, events) at least 4-5 times a week. Manage relationships with reinsurance partners. This role is for someone who is engaged and wants to have their hands in all aspects of the business. Biz Dev, Employee Development, Building a franchise, underwriting marketing to CEO marketing. Ideal Candidate background 10 years of experience Current Casualty Facultative Reinsurance Broker High Level placement specialist at a retail brokerage who wants to produce and lead. Candidate with this experience have done well in this role as you have industry contacts. E&S Carrier Underwriter ready for the next step or Underwriting Manager Wholesale Producer or High Level Inside Broker * This person must open to travel to Los Angeles. This position will involve a significant amount of client entertainment (meals, happy hours, sporting events, etc.) as well as travel. The ideal candidate would be eager to engage with the marketplace and have an in office presence to build team.
