Are you EXPERIENCED in the Corrugated Packaging Industry and ready
to take on a hands-on role in a dynamic and growing company? VOLT
is looking for a SKILLED Machine Operator in the City of Ontario,
California!
Our prestigious client, designs, produces, and prints custom boxes
and packaging materials, helping clients bring their brands to life
through high-quality packaging.
NOTE: This position is different from warehouse packing; The focus
is on the creation and printing of packaging; This is NOT a Packing
of products into boxes position and it is NOT a Forklift
Position.
Position Summary
As a Machine Operator, you'll be responsible for the Setup and
Operation of Machinery used in the production of the printed
packaging materials. You'll work with both computer-controlled and
mechanical machines, ensuring efficiency, safety, and top-notch
product quality.
Key Responsibilities
Set Up and Operate various machines in your designated
department
Periodically test machine operation for optimal performance
Run materials according to company and customer specifications
Ensure correct materials are used to meet design and print
requirements
Detect and report defective materials or unusual conditions
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
Accurately enter inventory data
Inspect product for quality and consistency
Meet quality and efficiency standards
Adhere to all safety protocols and report maintenance concerns
Assist with special projects and perform additional duties as
needed
Qualifications
Corrugated manufacturing experience is REQUIRED
Proficient in reading Tape Measures, Blueprints, and production
schematics
Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Self-motivated with a strong team-first mindset
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly
required to stand, walk, sit and use hands to handle or feel.
The employee frequently is required to talk or hear.
The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and
arms.
The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 - 50
pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close
vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth
perception, and ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and
colored dyes.
Exposure to wet and humid conditions.
Exposure to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles;
and vibration, such as Color Dyes.
Noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
Must always wear PPE. (Noise reduction Ear Plugs, Steel Toe Shoes,
Safety Glasses & Gloves)
NO Jewelry and No-Lose Clothing. MUST WEAR Steel Toe Shoes.
PAY RATE: $22.00 - $26.00 (DOE)
1ST SHIFT: 5:00AM - 1:30PM +OT (8-10 hours daily) MONDAY - FRIDAY
(Some Mandatory Saturday's)
2ND SHIFT: 1:30PM - 10:00PM +OT (8-10 hours daily) MONDAY - FRIDAY
(Some Mandatory Saturday's)
