(CST) Certification and minimum 2 years Surgical Tech / Operating
Room Tech experience required. Applicants who do not meet these
qualifications will not be considered. Provide essential operating
room support and patient care within a dynamic surgical environment
located in Chula Vista, CA. This contract position involves working
closely with surgical teams to ensure procedural efficiency and
patient safety in compliance with healthcare regulations and
facility standards. Key Responsibilities: Adhere consistently to
healthcare policies, ethical standards, and safety protocols.
Maintain all regulatory documentation, including licensing,
certification, and mandatory trainings, submitting appropriate
records timely. Deliver high-quality patient care during surgical
procedures by anticipating needs, assisting appropriately, and
managing instrument counts. Accurately document surgical counts and
communicate critical information to the team; update surgeon
preference cards as needed. Proactively address operational
challenges, participate in staff education, and contribute
suggestions to enhance departmental processes and cost efficiency.
Flexibly work additional or varied shifts when necessary to support
department objectives. Qualifications/Desired Experience: Proven
experience in operating room nursing, preferably with knowledge of
instrumentation and surgical procedures. Strong understanding of
regulatory requirements related to nursing and surgical support.
Ability to work independently while supporting team goals.
Excellent communication and documentation skills. Commitment to
