Roku made streaming possible and The Roku Channel is changing the way we watch it.About the roleRoku is seeking a Multi-Platform Lead to join our programming and engagement team with a focus on The Roku Channel. This role is responsible for the overall success of The Roku Channel on platforms outside of Roku. The right individual will have a background of developing sound business strategies across platforms, rolling up their sleeves on execution and implementation, and successfully growing ours and our partners' businesses post launch.To be successful the role will require the ability to work across a diverse range of internal departments, such as editorial, content acquisition, product, engineering, data analytics and marketing.The ideal candidate will have experience working with OTT Platforms, building financial models, managing to P&L targets and a background in generating revenue. The position requires a strong analytical background and the ability to interact with multiple internal stakeholders and external clients at a senior level. Must be passionate about streaming TV.What you'll be doingThe role is responsible for developing a data-driven strategy to grow The Roku Channel's entire service off platform, including driving reach, streaming hours, and monetization, including:Assessing which platforms to prioritize and developing the appropriate business terms to secure distributionPartnering with platforms to continue to grow TRC and be integrated into their platformsProviding oversight and prioritization of operational workflows to drive multiplatform experiencesDeveloping marketing and editorial strategies that maximize audience engagementEnsuring delivery of valuable advertising inventory and sponsorship opportunities that are aligned with Roku's ad sales strategyDevelopment of analysis and reporting of relevant business KPIs and the use of those KPIs to further inform and refine the planProviding well-grounded and achievable operational and financial forecastsDelivering results that meet and exceed the strategic plan on engagement and financial metrics.The Senior Manager is also responsible for future growth planning and evolution in the market including:Developing a three-year plan for business and product evolution in alignment with broader strategic goalsScoping new business models or operational models for future successAnalyzing competitive platforms performance and successes across product, operations, PR and all relevant fieldsUnderstanding the partners' overall goals and opportunities for value creationDriving automation, enhanced reporting and tools to improve the efficiencyIn order to achieve success in this role, the Senior Manager will:Work collaboratively with key internal partners, including content acquisition, editorial, operations, marketing, product, data science and othersBe expert in the use of data to make decisions, measure outcomes and track resultsThis role will report to the Director, AVODWe're excited if you have6+ years of experience delivering results in fast paced environments, including significant P&L ownership and demonstrated success in driving meaningful growth in content driven businessesStrong understanding of the advertising business model in digital, television and/or OTTExperience working with multiple OTT platformsProven success leading business development or partner managementBackground in a broad set of functional areas, including product, operations, marketing and editorialDemonstrated experience in using data to establish and execute strategy from the ground up, including with complex, multi-faceted and highly interdependent projectsAble to work cross-functionally and collaboratively across multiple corporate locations, particularly in an engineering driven organizationAble to build, lead and develop a high functioning teamAble to travel weekly to the Bay AreaBA / BS degree.
