Pumping Equipment LACT positive displacement piston (PDP) pumps
Centrifugal pumps Position Description Technicians are assigned to
execute maintenance and repair work on mechanical equipment and
systems. The role may be filled by an ExxonMobil (XOM) employee or
contractor resource and typically reports to a Supervisor. Main
Functions Perform mechanical maintenance, repair, and
troubleshooting on rotating and packaged equipment Support
mechanical engineers with planning, inspection, testing, and
execution of mechanical work Participate in planning and execution
of field maintenance activities in accordance with safety and
operational requirements Tasks and Responsibilities Assist
mechanical engineers with planning and testing of mechanical
components and equipment, including engines, compressors, pumps,
instruments, and controls Review job packs and validate scope,
materials, and safety requirements prior to execution Identify
safety issues associated with assigned jobs and ensure mitigation
or removal prior to work Actively participate in all required
on-the-job safety tools and processes Execute work as planned and
notify supervision of deviations or constraints Request permits and
notify Supervisor if permits cannot be obtained within 30 minutes
of request Record technical and maintenance history as required
(e.g., Global Reliability Tool (GRT), data sheets) Provide feedback
on job pack quality and improvement opportunities to Execution FLS
Assist with preparation of proposals and cost estimates when
required Skills and Qualifications Discipline-appropriate
certification(s) or equivalent hands-on mechanical experience
Demonstrated experience working on VRU compressors, gas lift
systems, reciprocating and screw compressors, diesel generators,
and pumps Strong verbal and written communication skills with the
ability to clearly describe field conditions and recommend
corrective actions Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work
effectively across disciplines and without direct authority Ability
to adapt to tight deadlines, changing priorities, and variable
workloads Proficient in Microsoft Office applications With over 90
