Preschool PrincipalDream Big Academy - North Hollywood , CAAbout Us: Dream Big Academy is a brand-new preschool preparing to open its doors in Los Angeles, California. We are currently in the construction and licensing phase and are seeking a highly experienced and visionary Preschool Director to join us on this exciting journey. This role starts as a part-time consulting and preparation position , with the potential to transition into a full-time Director role once the school is operational.What We're Looking For: We are seeking a passionate, organized, and knowledgeable early childhood education leader who is excited to help us build a preschool from the ground up. This is a rare opportunity to help shape the vision, design, and operational structure of a brand-new school.Initial Responsibilities (Part-Time/Consulting Phase):

• Consult on preschool layout, classroom design, and compliance with licensing requirements
• Assist with permitting, licensing, and regulatory compliance
• Develop age-appropriate learning programs and curriculum
• Help with setting up preschool operations, staffing, and schedules
• Select and implement a CRM/management software for preschool operations
• Provide ongoing consultation and leadership throughout the pre-launch phaseFull-Time Director Responsibilities (Post-Launch):
  • Lead daily operations of the preschool in compliance with California state regulations
  • Supervise the maintenance of financial and operational records, including special programs such as CCTR and EHS
  • Track enrollment data, tuition fees, and payment schedules
  • Train, supervise, and evaluate staff while ensuring high standards of care and education
  • Step in as a substitute teacher when necessary to maintain smooth classroom operations
  • Foster a nurturing and engaging learning environment for children
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to meet contract requirements and utilize funding effectively
  • Build strong relationships with families, staff, and the local community
  • Manage enrollment, staff development, and all school programs
  • Ensure adherence to all health, safety, and education standardsQualifications:
    • Must meet California qualifications to be a Preschool Director
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in early childhood education, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
    • Strong understanding of California Community Care Licensing Division (CCLD) requirements
    • Experience with new preschool launches or program development is highly preferred
    • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
    • Familiarity with CRM or childcare management software (e.g. Brightwheel, Procare, etc.) is a plusJob Type:
      • Part-Time (Pre-Launch Phase): 4 hours/day, Monday through Friday
      • Full-Time (Director Role Upon Launch)Compensation:
        • $30-$40/hour , depending on experience
        • Part-time compensation based on 20 hours/week
        • Compensation will be restructured for full-time employment upon launch
