Job Description:
Duties The primary purpose of this position is: As an Air
Reserve Technician (ART), performs a variety of preliminary and
immediate control tasks in regards to the maintenance, inspection,
and repair of aircraft propulsion units to include engines and
their subsystems, associate engine trailers, maintenance
stands/equipment and auxiliary power units via weekly and monthly
maintenance schedules and plansTrains reservists in the
accomplishments of tasks set forth hereinDuties: 1: Develops and
recommends local engine management policy and procedures on
Technical Order and AFI guidanceDevelops maintenance plans and
control tasks regarding the maintenance and repair of aircraft
propulsion units including engines, their components, Auxiliary
Power Units (APU) and associated support equipment2: Serves as the
Propulsion Systems TCTO/TCI MonitorFunctions as the Engine
Tracking/ Comprehensive Engine Management System (CEMS) Data Base
Monitor3: Wing focal point for both the Engine Trending and
Diagnostics (ET&D) and Engine Health Management (EHM+)
program4: Assists maintenance analysis functions in the Maintenance
Information System (MIS) specific to propulsion equipment
functions, engine, or equipment operational or historical records,
and work order generation data5: Prepares effective training plans
to maximize training for assigned personnelRequirements Conditions

1152SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1)
year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-08, or
equivalent in other pay systemsExamples of specialized experience
includes knowledge of multiple repair and overhaul processes and
procedures used in the modification and repair of aircraft

appropriate production/technical processes and material posture of
maintenance work centers to assure continuing availability of
material requirementKnowledge of aerospace systems, subsystems,
components, and associated inspection, repair, modification, and
supply processes5: Skill in oral communication to effectively
communicate with senior operations and maintenance personnel6:
Knowledge of and skill in the use of automated maintenance
information systems and aircraft maintenance documentation
processes to collect, compile, and correlate production data from a
variety of sources and use that data to determine compliance status
of scheduled maintenance, inspection, and modification actionsOTHER

enlisted positionThe incumbent is required to meet and maintain Air
Force Reserve requirementsWork schedule will be aligned to allow
the incumbent to fully participate in unit training assembliesThe
incumbent's regular assignments are primarily ART duties; however,
the incumbent may also be assigned non-ART duties, generally not to
exceed 30 percent of total responsibilities2The incumbent must
obtain and retain the appropriate security clearance level
designated for the position3The incumbent may be required to fly in
military and/or commercial aircraft to perform temporary duty
assignments (TDY) away from the normal duty station4The incumbent
